Beads, Beads, Beads

Yesterday, I entered this scavenger hunt contest sponsored by the estyBEAD team. These ladies make jewelry and beads that you just can't even imagine. I had to go to each site to search for a particular symbol, so I got a chance to see alot of work while I searched yesterday. I wouldn't even call these beads, rather these are works of ART. It also inspired me to do a little searching for beads and people who create beautiful things with beads.

Let me start with Studio Marcy. OMG, these are just the most amazing, tiny things I have ever seen. Her beads range from $14 to $34 dollars, but the work that goes into these beads can give you an idea of why the price range is the way it is. Imagine how many people will be asking you where you got that focal charm on your necklace. There's animals, mermaids, pirates, shells, food and much more. Here's just a sampling of what you will find at Studio Marcy:

Here are some really beautiful heart shaped glass pieces that I found at Boomwire . These are lampwork beads of Borosilicate glass and I think they are just gorgeous. Hey, Valentine's day is coming hint hint..someone tell my husband!!! These hearts range from $17 to $22.

Deb's Beaded Treasures is a site for those who want to wear a work of art. In fact, most of her pieces can be purchased from an art gallery. This Turquoise piece, alas is sold, is my favorite necklace from her site. I cannot give you a price as they are not listed on her site. You can contact her to find out more information thru her site.

Star Girl Jewelry on Etsy has some beads with exquisite detail. Including these seaside themed beads. Just look at the colors and the detail. These seaside beads are priced at $48, hey these are handmade and amazing! There is also a Valentine's themed set called "Love Bugs" which are priced at $40. Amazing!

Lastly, I wanted to show you this artist's site. M. Sturman's site is full of these pieces of jewelry that will just blow your mind away. I can't even imagine creating pieces like this with beads. I'm lucky if I can string some seed beads for a cheesy fast anklet. Prices aren't listed on the site, so I assume you have to contact them for more information.
